Locati LLC of Pineville, PA is pleased to present the Fall 2024 Fine Jewelry Auction featuring the pocket watch collection of Sydney F Martin on November 13. The first part of the sale will include over 100 lots of fine jewelry from local estates and collections. Highlights include a pair of Marcus pins, several pieces of David Yurman jewelry, several good engagement rings, pieces by Tiffany and two wristwatches by Patek Philippe. After a break, the second half of the auction (beginning lot 200) will be nearly 200 lots of pocket watches from makers including Hamilton, American Watch Co., Charles Frodsham, Waltham, Ball, Patek Philippe, William Harpur, Illinois and others. A small offering of wristwatches are included in the sale by Breitling, Hamilton, Girard Perregaux and others. The collection is centered by military and railroad examples which includes military chronometers. Some European examples will be offered including timepieces with repeater function.

Two Pocket Watches in 14k Gold Cases, One Hamilton

Two watches, one by R.T Chapman, Atlantic City, N.J with 15j movement signed for the same retailer, in a 14k gold hunter case by Dubois, the Hamilton with 916 17j movement in a 14k gold case by Hamilton with art deco elements. 

Dimensions: The total approximate gross weight of the two watches is 3.90 ozt, the diameters are 44mm and 46mm

Condition:

The Chapman watch has a hairline cracks to the dial, is missing a crystal, and has some dings to the case, both have expected surface wear as pictured. Both are currently running. (We do not guarantee functionality.)
