Letter dated 1927, to directors of Kollel Warsaw, appealing for help for Mr Tzvi Klugman ‘who is about to get married, and works in the Police force, and is a honest and fine person ... requires a small loan ...’
Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak Kook (1865-1935), Student of the Volozhin Yeshiva, ordained by yhe Aruch Hashulchan, son-in-law of Rabbi Aliyahu David Rabinowitz – Teomim ‘Aderes’. Rabbi of Zeimel (1888), Buisk (1895) and Yaffo (1904). Left Eretz Yisrael in 1914 for Switzerland to attend the Agudas Yisrael convention, but due to the outbreak of WWI the convention was cancelled and he could not return home, and spent the war years in London as Rabbi of the Machzikei Hadass community. After his return to Eretz Yisrael he established his yeshiva Merkaz Harav Kook.
