auf einem Ast sitzender Kakadu mit zum Betrachter gewandtem Blick, Werksverzeichnis Götze A 171, Radierung, 1920, unter der Darstellung in Blei rechts signiert "M. E. Philipp" und links betitelt "Kakadu", in der Platte monogrammiert und datiert "MEPH 1920", minimal gebräunt, unter Passepartout und hinter Glas gerahmt, Darstellungsmaße ca. 24 x 13,5 cm. Künstlerinfo: monogrammiert "MEPH", dt.-jüdischer Maler und Graphiker (1887 Zwickau bis 1978 Dresden), studierte 1904-08 an der Kunstgewerbeschule Dresden, 1908-13 Studium an der Kunstakademie bei Oskar Zwintscher und Osmar Schindler, Meisterschüler von Gotthardt Kuehl und Richard Müller an der Dresdner Akademie, erhielt zahlreiche Auszeichnungen, unter anderem 1914 die Sächsische Staats-Medaille auf der Bugra Leipzig, Mitglied im Reichsverband Bildender Künstler Deutschlands und der Dresdner Kunstgenossenschaft. später Mitglied des Verbandes Bildender Künstler (VBK) der DDR, tätig in Dölzschen bei Dresden, Quelle: Thieme-Becker, Vollmer, Dressler, Eisold “Künstler in der DDR”, Kürschners "Graphikerhandbuch" 1967 und Wikipedia.
