Long 6-side responsum regarding Tefillin on Chold Hamo’ed and the Laws of Yomtov. Dated 1934.
Rabbi Avraham Stern (1884-1944), studied under Rabbi Moshe Yosef Hoffman of Papa, Rabbi Yehuda Grunfeld of Semihaly, Rabbi Shmuel Rosenberg of Unsdorf, Rabbi Moshe Greenwald of Chust and Rabbi Simcha Bunem Schreiber of Pressburg. Son-in-law of Rabbi Yosef Meir Tiegerman of Neuhausel, where he too served as Dayan. Author of a number of rabbinic works, most famous of which is his three-volume Melitzei Eish.
Rabbi Yechiel Michael Gold (1900-1944), a favoured pupil of Rabbi Chaim Elazar Shapira, the Minchas Elazar of Munkacz. He was a talented author and published important rabbinic works including Mikra’ei Kodesh, Me’asef Lechol Hamachanos, Tziyunei Yechiel, with his most famous publication being Darkei Chaim Veshalom recording the customs and practices of the Rebbes of Munkacz and bringing rabbinic sources for them.
