A page written on both sides in the distinct handwriting of the Ben Ish Chai, containing part of one of his famous derashoth, which were attended by thousands.

The manuscripts of the Ben Ish Chai are considered to be a segula for success, protection and healing.

Rabbi Yosef Chaim of Baghdad – Ben Ish Chai (1833-1909), the most famous Iraqi rabbinical leader in recent times. Rabbi Yosef Chaim, was a son of Rabbi Eliyahu and grandson of Rabbi Moshe Chayim – Rabbi of Baghdad, and a disciple of Rabbi Abdallah Somekh – author of Zivchei Tzedek. He was a great halachic authority, cabbalist and author of numerous rabbinic works and the recognised rabbinical authority of the Jews of Iraq and many other oriental communities. His works are studied and revered by both Sefardim and Ashkenazim; most famous are: Ben ish Chai, Ben Ish Chayil, Rav Pe’alim and Ben Yehoyada.
