Sidrei Taharos - Piotrkow, 5663 - First Edition - Pulmus (Famous Incident)

"Seder Taharos, collection of all the sayings of our sages from Shas Bavli and Yerushalmi, Toras Cohanim, Sifri Raba and Sifri Zuta, Mechilta, Zohar, Pesikta, Pesikta Atikta, Toseftos, Midrashim, Beraisos, Avos DeRebbi Nassan, Tana Dvei Eliyahu Raba Vezuta, Aggadas Bereishis and more. With two commentaries: A lengthy commentary to clarify the halacha using pilpul (similar to Tosfos) and a short commentary to explain the halachos (similar to Rashi). By the Admor Rav Gershon Chanoch Henich Leiner of Radzin, zatzal.
*************************************
As is well known, there is no gemara on Seder Taharos, neither in the Bavli nor in the Yerushalmi Talmud (except for Masseches Niddah). The layout of this work is exactly like a gemara: The Mishna is written and after it is the "gemara"- things related to the mishna collected from all of chazal's writing, and around this "gemara", is the author's commentary, similar to Rashi's and Tosafot's commentary on gemara. With Masores Hashas and Eyn Mishpat.
The sefer was written by the Admor at the early age of thirty-three. When the first volume, on Masseches Kelim (Yosefuf 5633) was published, it aroused great wonder and excitement, as its order was absolutely wondrous. The Shoel Umeshiv and other gedoley hador gave enthusiastic approbations to the sefer. On the other hand, the Vilna Beis Din, headed by Rav Betzalel Hacohen came out against the sefer, due to their concern that it may, after many years, be mistakenly considered part of the gemara itself. Because of this, the second volume (which is this volume) was printed with the following sentence at the bottom of each and every page: "Gathered from the words of the Tanaim and Amoraim, Zichronam Livracha".
In this volume, approbations from all gedoley Yisrael, from all parts of the world are printed, including: Rav Yitzchak Elchonon Spektor of Kovno, the Rishon Letzion Rav Avraham Ashkenazi, Rav Shimon Sofer, the Malbim, Rav Abdala Somech, Rav Shlomo Bechor Chutzin, the Sdeh Chemed and more.
Piotrkow, 5663, First edition. [8], 546 pages. 37 cm. Good condition.
