Collection of [10] Posters Hung by the Nazis in Holland during the Nazi Occupation of WWII

Large and unique collection of posters hung by the Nazis and their allies in Holland.

Rarely is such a large and unique collection up for auction.

* Large poster with instructions by the Nazi regime for Dutch citizens. The top of the poster displays the emblem of Nazi Germany. The text is in two languages, Dutch and German. Orange margins. 40x59 cm.

* Poster with a warning to Dutch citizens from the Nazi authorities: the Nazis warn the residents not to dare help enemy forces, because recently, the notice writes, a British fighter plane conducted a forced landing in Dutch territory, and its crew received assistance from local residents. The British ended up being caught by the Germans. 5 were executed and three received long prison terms. Black ink on pink background. Dated 14 August, 1941. Stamped on the notification: Friedrich Christiansen, who was the Wermacht commander in Holland. 60x41 cm.

* WHN poster - Nazi-sponsored Dutch aid organization (Winterhulp Nederland). The WHN was a grassroots organization founded with the encouragement of the Nazis to aid Holland's poor. However, the aid was not very effective because most of the collectors were Nazis or their collaborators. Color poster with gilt windmill at center, 43x60 cm.

* WHN poster - Nazi-sponsored Dutch aid organization (Winterhulp Nederland)(see previous item). Written on the poster: "het bouwwerk van en voor ons volk." The Utrecht cathedral and the market building (vleeshal) in Haarlem can be seen on the poster. 59x42 cm.

* Poster from the Nationaal-Soocialistische Arbeiderspartij-van Rappard organization calling on all eligible men to sign up for the Dutch employment service, which was actually a Nazi-sponsored organization. Yellow poster depicting a man pushing a wheelbarrow, 95x56 cm.

* NSB poster (Dutch Nazi movement, with the purpose of making the Dutch hate England). The poster details all the wars the English conducted against Holland, concluding with bombings over civilian targets between 1942-1944, 1944, 80x54.

* NSB poster (Dutch Nazi movement) calling for support for the organization and its leader, Anton Mussert. The poster depicts Mussert against the backdrop of the Dutch flag. 83x60 cm.

* WHN poster - Nazi-sponsored Dutch aid organization (Winterhulp Nederland)(see previous items). The poster depicts a hand knocking on a door, as preparation for a fundraising event. 81x115 cm.

* Poster from the Dutch ministers of justice and of commerce calling on the public to uphold the law in the framework of the Nazi occupation, 1941, 59x84 cm.

* Poster warning Dutch residents not to store food and not to trade on the black market. The notification promises a monetary prize to all informers. 1941. 41x58 cm.

Overall moderate-fine condition.
