WESTERN ASIATIC / AEGEAN BRONZE SWORD
Ca. 900 - 700 BC. A bronze sword with a tapering blade and a reinforced midrib running along its length. The blade has straight, parallel edges that converge into a sharp, elongated point. The hilt features a rectangular guard that transitions into a cylindrical grip and terminates in a rounded pommel with circular perforations arranged around its circumference. Size: 490mm x 70mm; Weight: 780g Provenance: Private UK collection; Formerly acquired on the European art market from pre-2000 collections.
